What's Happening the weeks of March 17-March 28?

Cohorts A & B

This week students are to conduct a five question survey . Four questions must have 2 choices ( ex. Do you think students should wear uniform? yes or no? ), and one question must have at least 5 choices (ex. What is your favorite sport from the following list? Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Volleyball). Students will be collecting data from 20-50 people, and creating a table and a bar graph to represent their findings. This assignment is due Thursday, March 20th.

Cohorts C & D

This week students will be changing linear equations from standard form to slope-intercept form. Additionally, students will learn to graph linear equations using T-charts, slope intercept form, and x and y intercepts.

Cohorts E & F

This week students will be adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing polynomials. We will be reviewing the rules for combining like terms and the rules of exponents. We will also learn how to use FOIL to factor polynomials.
